Friday Reads! February 5th

It’s the first Friday in February! I cannot believe it’s already been a month since the new year began. Time sure flies, doesn’t it?

Friday Reads

Here’s what I’m reading today and this weekend:

  1. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater – I’m about one hundred pages into this. It’s taking me awhile to really get into the story, but I’m getting there. I plan on finishing it this weekend.
  2. The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan – This is Book 2 in the Percy Jackson series and I’ve only read Book 1. Since I scored books 1-4 in the Heroes of Olympus series for FREE for my classroom, I decided to get the box set of Percy Jackson and the Olympians for my classroom as well. I want to marathon read these to get to the Heroes of Olympus books that my students think “will TAKE FOREVER TO READ, MISS ROBERTS, OH EM GEE.”

If I finish these, I might just keep going in the Percy Jackson series or I’ll pick something off my shelf I haven’t read yet. We’ll see.

What are you reading this weekend?

Friday Reads! January 29th

Happy Friday everyone!

Friday Reads

This weekend, I plan to read the following:

  • The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I picked this one up from my local library and I started it the other night, but haven’t read a lot of it. I plan on devouring it this weekend.
  • Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
This is a maybe…a big maybe. I’m still not all that excited about this book, but I find myself looking at it quite a bit. I’ve been itching to pick it up. We’ll see how I feel once the time comes.

Books on deck in case the mood doesn’t fit for the above books:

  • Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
This one has been on my Kindle for awhile…I got it for less than two dollars in a deal, but haven’t read it yet. It’s there when I need it.
  • Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
This is another that’s been sitting on a shelf for months. I’ve read Gone Girl and Dark Places and loved them both, so I don’t know what I’m waiting for!
  • Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Guys. I have no excuses. I’ve been meaning to start this book since July when I won an ARC in a giveaway…Good grief, Kacie. Read the dang book.

What are you reading this weekend?

Friday Reads! December 4th

Hello, everyone!

If you are reading this, it is Friday. Hooray!

I’m by myself this weekend so I plan on doing some heavy reading. I pretty much have nothing else to do this weekend except read. I LOVE IT. I have missed these days!

Friday Reads

Here’s what I’m reading:

#1 – A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – I’m only about 30 pages into this one, but I hope to finish it pretty quickly.

#2 – Finders Keepers by Stephen King – Once I got into the first book of the series, I BLEW through it and I’m highly anticipating picking this one up. My mom is currently reading our copy from the library…I’m hoping she doesn’t take it with her when she goes out of town tonight…

#3 – Outlander by Diana Gabaldon – If she does take Finders Keepers or I somehow finish that one as well, I’ll pick Outlander back up…I read 80 pages of it back in August but then got caught up in something. I have the entire series on my Kindle and I really want to read them!

Day is also the fourth day of my Billy Murray movie marathon. Last night, I watched Caddyshack, one of my favorite movies. Tonight, I’m watching A Very Murray Christmas on Netflix! I’m super excited about it. Here’s my Bill Murray schedule for this weekend:

Friday: A Very Murray Christmas
Saturday: Stripes
Sunday: Ghostbusters

See you next week!
